The Steeda X5 ball joints are performance-focused replacement lower ball joints for 2005-2010 Ford Mustang vehicles. Installation requires above-average mechanical skills, as it involves removing the vehicle's front control arms. Specific torque specifications must be followed during assembly to ensure structural integrity and safe operation. Compatibility is strictly limited to 2005-2010 Mustang models. Notably, this product does not fit the 2010 GT500. Furthermore, because 2010 is considered a transition year for the platform, some vehicles may require the manufacturer's alternative X11 ball joints instead. A mandatory hardware requirement for these ball joints is the use of 18-inch wheels, which are necessary to provide adequate clearance for the components. Wheels smaller than 18 inches will not work and should not be used.
