X51 Oil Pan

The FVD Brombacher Motorsport Oil Pan Kit is engineered to solve oil pan scavenging and aeration problems common in Porsche 996, 997, and Boxster models under high G-force conditions, such as those encountered on a racetrack. This motorsport oil pan incorporates the advanced baffling concept found in the x51 oil pan. Furthermore, its deeper design increases the overall oil capacity by approximately 0.6 liters (nearly 3/4 of a quart) compared to the original x51 pan. This added volume contributes to improved oil cooling and sustained engine performance by mitigating oil starvation and preventing oil foaming. The oil pan is constructed from aluminum and features external cooling fins, which actively help to lower oil temperatures. This is crucial for maintaining optimal engine health and performance during demanding driving conditions. This kit is compatible with Boxster, Cayman, 996, and 997 models, but it specifically excludes the 3.8 S, GT3, and turbocharged models. It fits various Carrera, C4S, and base models across different model years and engine displacements from 1997 to 2008. An optional magnetic oil drain plug (FVD 107 176 01) is available separately.
