The ACT XACT Prolite Clutch Flywheel (600585) is ACT's lightest flywheel option, designed to provide the lowest inertia for enhanced throttle response and acceleration. This Prolite flywheel is ideal for road racing or rally applications where quick response is crucial, though it may result in mild to moderate gear rattle and reduced everyday drivability. The flywheel is forged from chromoly steel and features induction-hardened ring gears for maximum life and toughness. It is CAD-designed, CNC-machined, and dynamically computer-balanced for smooth operation at high RPMs and reliability. The one-piece construction ensures uniform heat transfer from the clutch disc, preventing warped inserts or loose ring gears. ACT flywheels are serviceable, allowing for resurfacing without needing additional parts. This flywheel fits various Chevrolet Corvette (C5 and C6 models, excluding ZR1), Chevrolet Camaro, Pontiac Firebird, and Cadillac CTS models with the 5.7L V8 or 6.0L V8 engines. It is compatible with vehicles from 1997 through 2013, with specific fitments including models like the Chevrolet Corvette Z06 and the Cadillac CTS-V.
