The Morimoto D2S: XB 5K 35w HID Bulbs offer a superior lighting solution for vehicles equipped with D2S HID systems. The XB lineup is available in versions optimized for either 35W or 50W ballasts. At the core of the XB D2S bulbs is their precisely aligned Philips quartz glass housing an APL-USA capsule. Extensive comparisons have shown the Morimoto XB capsule to rival the performance of top-tier brands. The bulbs are constructed with Austrian-sourced Plansee electrodes, contributing to their long-term brightness and durability. While a Philips bulb might retain slightly more intensity after 200 hours of use, the Morimoto bulbs maintain a significant percentage, offering impressive longevity for an aftermarket product. Morimoto has focused on precision alignment with their Symmetry-Structure frame, ensuring the glass capsule remains properly positioned. This meticulous alignment results in consistently bright and uniform light output, a significant improvement over previous XB generations. These bulbs are also noted for their exceptional reliability, capable of withstanding frequent on/off cycles and even prolonged submersion.
