The Mobilgrease XHP 222 Special is an extended service lithium complex grease engineered to excel under severe operating conditions. This grease ensures a high level of chemical stability and provides excellent protection against rust and corrosion. Key features of the Mobilgrease XHP 220 Series, including the XHP 222 Special, include superb resistance to water washout and spray-off, helping to maintain lubrication and protection in wet environments. Its highly adhesive and cohesive structure offers excellent tenacity, reducing leakage and extending re-lubrication intervals for decreased maintenance needs. The grease also provides excellent rust and corrosion resistance, safeguarding components in harsh, aqueous conditions. Furthermore, this grease exhibits very good resistance to thermal, oxidative, and structural degradation at high temperatures, which helps prolong grease life and enhance bearing protection in high-temperature applications, potentially lowering maintenance and replacement costs. The Mobilgrease XHP 222 Special is specifically fortified with 0.75% molybdenum disulfide, offering extreme pressure (EP) protection against wear under conditions such as pivoting and other scenarios that can lead to oil film breakdown. It is available in NLGI grade 2 and has a maximum recommended operating temperature of 140º C (284°F) with an ISO VG 220 base oil viscosity.
