Overview

The PowerBass XL-1040T is a 10" shallow mount subwoofer designed for high-power bass in tight spaces. It features a proprietary one-piece injection molded flat cone design and a high-roll Santoprene surround. This subwoofer is optimized for small sealed enclosures, making it suitable for installations where a standard woofer might not fit.

Constructed with a non-resonance polycarbonate/glass fiber basket and a 2.0" vented KSV voice coil, the XL-1040T offers reliable performance. It boasts a frequency response from 35Hz to 500Hz and handles 350 Watts RMS / 700 Watts Max power. The unit includes chrome push terminals for easy connection.

The PowerBass XL-1040T is a 10" shallow-mount subwoofer engineered to deliver robust bass performance in compact environments where space is limited. It utilizes a proprietary one-piece injection molded flat cone and a high-roll Santoprene surround for accurate and efficient bass output. The construction of the XL-1040T features a unique, non-resonance polycarbonate/glass fiber basket, similar to the Xtreme family, which contributes to its durability and reliability. A 2.0" vented KSV voice coil former, along with perimeter aero-vent voice coil cooling vents, helps manage heat during demanding use. The driver has a mounting depth of only 3.4", making it ideal for applications that require a shallower profile than traditional subwoofers. Key specifications for the XL-1040T include a 35Hz - 500Hz subwoofer frequency range, a nominal impedance of single 4-ohm, and a power handling capability of 350 Watts RMS and 700 Watts Max. The subwoofer sensitivity is rated at 88 dB (1W/1M). The injection molded Polypropylene cone material contributes to its responsiveness, while the 116 oz magnet provides ample driving force. The cutout diameter required is 9 5/16 inches.
