The PowerBass XL-844 8" Subwoofer is engineered to deliver enhanced low-frequency response and exceptional bass tones. Its design incorporates a proprietary non-pressed paper DDC coated cone, chosen for its natural smooth bass reproduction and ability to produce high output with minimal distortion, even under high SPL conditions. The custom turbine-style frame, constructed from a polycarbonate/glass fiber composite, supports dual-stack magnets and an extended dome backplate, ensuring robust construction. The subwoofer is equipped with a 2.0" vented BASV voice coil former and chrome push terminals for maximum current transfer, ensuring reliable power delivery. It boasts a large roll Santoprene® surround, contributing to its durable build and performance. This 8-inch subwoofer is remarkably versatile, offering strong low-frequency performance whether installed in a small sealed or a ported enclosure. It handles 200 watts RMS and a maximum of 400 watts, with a nominal impedance of a single 4-ohm and a subwoofer frequency range of 40 Hz to 400 Hz.
