XP HOT Camshaft

The ZZPerformance XP HOT Cam is a performance camshaft kit engineered for 1996 and newer GM 3800 engines. The XP HOT cam is known for producing higher wheel horsepower and torque numbers compared to other cam grinds. This complete kit aims to provide nearly everything needed for a smooth installation, saving you the trouble of sourcing individual parts. It includes the ZZP XP HOT camshaft, a Rollmaster double roller timing chain, a machined oil pump cover, an extra-thick front cover gasket, a ZZP camshaft bolt, ZZP Z7 hydraulic roller lifters, ZZP modified steel valve spring retainers, ZZP 150# valve springs, and a pushrod length checker. The included pushrod length checker allows you to verify the correct pushrod length for your specific engine setup. For maximum reliability, ZZPerformance highly recommends their upgraded tensioner and performance lifter trays, available separately. This camshaft is compatible with stock or 3000 stall torque converters and can be used with stock cylinder heads. ZZP intercooler users may be able to run a 2.6″ pulley with raised timing on 93 octane. The XP HOT cam is estimated to provide a 40-55hp gain and is the largest camshaft that can be fitted with stock cylinder heads.
