The King XP-Series Main Bearings MB5013XP are performance-oriented engine components designed to withstand the extreme demands of racing. Constructed with an enhanced tri-metal composition, these bearings feature layered copper-lead construction, a nickel plate barrier, and a lead/tin/copper Babbitt overlay bonded to a steel backing. This advanced adhesion process ensures superior stability and durability under high stress. King's precision manufacturing achieves wall thickness tolerances of +/- 0.0001 inches, significantly tighter than competing products. The XP-Series bearings are designed with specific features for optimal performance in racing applications. They are narrowed to accommodate large radii crankshafts and feature enlarged, chamfered oil holes. The grooving options include full, 3/4 in., or 1/2 in. for improved oil distribution and reduced friction. These race-only bearings are built to handle high-load capacities and extreme RPMs. They are sold as a set.
