XP-Series Standard Size Rod Bearings

The King CR803XPN is a set of eight standard-size XP-Series rod bearings engineered to meet the demands of extreme performance loads and high-RPM applications. These bearings are specifically developed for performance applications utilizing forged steel aftermarket crankshafts that endure high loads for extended periods. The XP-Series features King's race-only Xtreme Performance pMax Black Tri-Metal construction. This advanced design incorporates a 24 percent stronger overlay and 17 percent more fatigue strength thanks to the proprietary SecureBond micro process. The tri-metal layers include a copper-lead base, a nickel plate barrier, and a lead/tin/copper babbit overlay bonded to a steel backing, ensuring superior stability and durability. King Engine Builders meticulously controls manufacturing to maintain wall thickness tolerances of +/- .0001 inches. The XP-Series rod bearings are also designed with a narrowed crank cheek side and increased crush height. This geometry improves bearing-to-bore contact and heat transfer, while also reducing the potential for bearing spin in high-RPM environments. The set includes eight standard-sized bearings.
