The Borla XR-1 Raceline Sportsman muffler (Part #40942) is engineered for those seeking maximum performance from their exhaust system. This universal muffler boasts a free-flow design that allows for increased airflow over stock configurations, aiming to boost track horsepower. The muffler features a 2.5-inch center inlet and a 2.5-inch center outlet, with a compact oval body measuring 4.25 inches by 7.88 inches and 16 inches in length (21 inches overall). For those opting for clamp installation, wide, two-bolt band clamps are recommended (sold separately). Inside, high-temperature continuous-filament fiber (CFF) acoustic material is used to control sound without significantly restricting exhaust flow. The 100% welded construction adds to its overall strength and longevity. Borla highlights that their XR-1 raceline parts offer an excellent balance of sound and power, and this particular muffler is made in the USA.
