XS3 Extreme Street Rear Brake Kit

The TBM Brakes XS3 Extreme Street Brake Kit is a purpose-built street performance brake upgrade, introducing the XS3 series with a 12.19-inch vented rotor. Drawing on over 30 years of racing heritage, this kit bridges the gap between lightweight steel racing brakes and larger diameter street performance brakes, delivering incredible stopping power. The XS3 caliper features billet housings machined from solid 6061 Aluminum Alloy, a unique crossflow design that eliminates external tubes for equal pressure distribution, and four 1.75-inch OD pistons per caliper for exceptional stopping power and pedal feedback. The rotors are 12.19-inch vented and black zinc plated for corrosion resistance. The kit includes Hawk Performance HPS Ferro Carbon brake pads, known for balancing stopping potential with reduced noise and dust. Billet aluminum brake hats are also included. Installation of this kit requires modification to the rear knuckle. Additionally, Demon 170 models will need to remove the rear control arm brace. The manufacturer notes that these brakes perform optimally at 6-800 psi brake pressure and require a proper master cylinder and pedal ratio for peak performance; consult TBM Brakes for calculation assistance. They also advise against using silicone-based brake fluid, recommending only approved DOT3, DOT4, or DOT 5.1 fluids. This kit is designed to fit within many factory and aftermarket 15-inch and larger wheels, but it will not clear the inner beadlock of a 15-inch beadlock drag racing wheel.
