Description

The Stratified Xtra Fuel System V2 is a "Big Turbo Fueling Solution" for the 2.0L and 2.3L EcoBoost engines, addressing limitations in the OEM direct-injection fuel system that can occur beyond approximately 375 WHP. It is recommended for up to 450 WHP on the Focus ST and includes two 65lb/hr injectors, totaling 130lb/hr (1365cc/min), with the option to upgrade later. This "Plug and Play" system requires no cutting, splicing, or soldering, and does not need extra tanks or pressure regulators. It offers improved fuel metering and atomization compared to WMI systems and is E85 safe. The system also features a port for water-methanol injection (WMI) for non-E85 users and helps maintain clean intake valves, preventing low-speed pre-ignition. Once installed, the Stratified Xtra Fuel System "should be tuned" to work seamlessly with the OEM fuel delivery system, ensuring safe power delivery, particularly when using ethanol-based fuels. The controller is programmed via a serial/DB9 port, and a USB tuning cable may need to be purchased separately. Stratified Automotive Controls offers a $100 tune credit towards the Aux Fuel Tuning Fee with the purchase of this kit.
