The Comp Cams Xtreme Energy Hydraulic Flat Tappet Camshaft (12-268-4) is engineered for Small Block Chevy engines, offering a performance upgrade with a 0.477" intake lift and 0.480" exhaust lift. Its 268-degree intake duration and 280-degree exhaust duration, combined with a 114 LSA, provide optimal performance within a 1800-5800 RPM range. This camshaft is specifically noted as the "best cam for modified 350 TPI" engines that have improved chip, injectors, plenum, runners, and exhaust systems. Additional components recommended for use with this camshaft include the COM-858-16 lifter and COM-981-16 valve springs. The Comp Cams 12-268-4 fits Chevrolet GEN 1 Small Blocks, including engines sizes 262, 265, 267, 283, 302, 305, 307, 327, 350, and 400. It is crucial to note that this camshaft **does not fit LT1/LT4 engines, nor does it fit factory roller Small Blocks.** Custom tuning is also required for optimal performance with this camshaft.
