The Competition Cams CL12-242-2 Xtreme Energy camshaft and lifter kit is engineered for Small Block Chevy engines, offering enhanced performance for street and strip applications. This hydraulic flat tappet camshaft features 268/280 degrees of advertised duration and 224/230 degrees at 0.050 inch lift, with a lift of 0.477/0.480 inches and a 110 Lobe Separation Angle (LSA). The operating RPM range for this camshaft is between 1,600 and 5,800 RPM. It is considered the largest camshaft suitable for a stock torque converter but performs better with a 2000+ RPM stall converter. Installation of this kit requires a valve spring upgrade.
