Description

The COMP Cams Xtreme Energy camshaft is a performance-oriented hydraulic roller camshaft engineered for GM LT1 and LT4 350 cubic inch, 8-cylinder engines, specifically for the 1995-1997 model years. Key specifications include an intake duration at 0.050 inch lift of 224 degrees and an exhaust duration at 0.050 inch lift of 230 degrees. The valve lift is rated at 0.503 inches for the intake and 0.510 inches for the exhaust. With a lobe separation angle of 112 degrees, this camshaft is optimized for street and performance driving, with an operating range between 1,800 and 5,800 RPM. It utilizes a 3-bolt camshaft gear attachment. This camshaft is noted as the best option for modified LT1 engines, providing better exhaust flow and suitability for torque converters over 2000 RPM. It is important to note that custom tuning is required for proper operation and to maximize performance gains.
