The VIS Racing Carbon Fiber Hood XTS Style is an exceptional upgrade for BMW 3 Series (E90) 4DR owners, manufactured for model years 2009 through 2011. This hood is constructed from 100% ISO-certified, Grade-A carbon fiber, ensuring both high performance and a striking aesthetic. Its two-part design involves bonding the carbon fiber top layer to a smooth underside shell with a high-grade epoxy resin, creating a robust and durable component. VIS Racing employs the advanced Vacuum Infusion Process (V.I.P.) in its manufacturing, a technique that uses a single-mold vacuum to produce parts that are 10-20% lighter while simultaneously improving their resilience and structural integrity. The exterior is finished with an ultra-clear, UV-protective polyurethane coating, known as Poly Shield, to maintain a high gloss finish and protect against environmental damage. This carbon fiber hood is specifically engineered for a seamless fit with OEM specifications for the following BMW 3 Series models: 323i (2009-2011), 325i (2009-2011), 328i (2009-2011), 328i xDrive (2009-2011), 335d (2009-2011), 335i (2009-2011), and 335i xDrive (2009-2011). Installation requires hood pins, and stock hood struts should not be reused as they may compromise the hood's integrity.
