During its development, extensive dyno testing of various merge distances revealed that optimal engine performance is achieved when the Y merge point is at a specific distance from the engine. The Motordyne XYZ pipe merges exhaust gases at this precisely determined optimum point. The system's design allows for extensions to be added, which can incorporate a resonator for improved sound quality or a high-flow catalytic converter to balance performance gains with emissions control.
