The HLV8Y Series LED fog lights from 2010 offer a yellow illumination that improves visibility in adverse weather conditions like fog and rain, while also reducing glare for oncoming traffic. Each bulb produces 2,200 lumens, contributing to better road illumination. The construction features durable aluminum housing with integrated heat sinks for a compact, fanless design, ensuring efficient heat dissipation without the need for a fan. The internal driver design streamlines the installation process, allowing for a direct plug-and-play connection without requiring additional accessories. The bulbs are rated IP65 waterproof and come with a 5-year warranty. These LED bulbs are compatible with H8, H9, H11, and H16 bulb sizes. It is recommended to check the user manual and verify bulb size for compatibility before purchase. The manufacturer notes that while LED bulbs are legal in the USA for fog light use, they are not compliant with DOT/FMVSS108 standards for headlights. This restriction is universal for LED bulbs used in halogen headlight housings in the USA. They are intended for off-road and fog light applications.
