Show original supplier description
The EBC Brakes Yellowstuff 4000 Series Street brake pads (DP41969R) are engineered to significantly enhance your vehicle's stopping performance, particularly for fast street driving. They are suitable for modern sedans, hot hatchbacks, trucks, and SUVs that require a substantial brake power upgrade. These pads feature a high-friction formula that boosts brake effectiveness by an estimated 15% and are designed to provide progressive braking with excellent pedal feel. They offer superior performance from a cold start, comparable to or better than standard stock pads, and maintain high-temperature fade resistance. The Yellowstuff pads are fully shimmed, slotted, and chamfered for smooth and quiet operation, and incorporate Nucap NRS hooks on their back plates to prevent pad debonding. Suitable for short-duration track events, trackday sessions, and drifting in lighter vehicles, the Yellowstuff series requires a longer bedding-in period than some other EBC compounds. For primary track use, Bluestuff or newer RP1/RPX ranges are recommended, or additional time must be allocated for brake bedding. In 2021, EBC upgraded the Yellowstuff formulation to eliminate copper, adhering to environmental legislation. This new formulation is longer-lasting but necessitates an extended bedding-in process of 100-200 miles on the street, occurring naturally during urban driving.
