Yukon Gear & Axle Ring and Pinion Gear Set, 3.73 Ratio

The Yukon Gear & Axle YG GM8.25-373R is a high-performance ring and pinion gear set engineered to meet OEM specifications for GM 8.25" IFS reverse rotation axles. Crafted from high-grade steel, both the ring and pinion components feature a specially designed gear tooth surface finish aimed at minimizing friction and heat buildup, ensuring enhanced durability and performance. This set offers a 3.73 gear ratio, an 8.25-inch ring gear diameter, a 30-spline pinion, and requires 10 ring gear bolts. It is specifically designed to fit GM 8.25" IFS axles manufactured up to and including 2013. It's important to note that front ends on 2010 GM 8.25" IFS axles originally equipped with a factory 3.08 gear ratio will require a new carrier when changing to a different ratio. For applications using 3.42 and up gears on a factory 3.08 differential, purchasing a YC G26018131 case concurrently is necessary. The deck height varies depending on the gear ratio: 1.780” for a 3.08 ratio and 1.920” for 3.42 and up ratios.
