Z Automotive Programmer

The Z Automotive Tazer Programmer (TAZ552) is a versatile device engineered for Chrysler 300 vehicles spanning model years 2011 through 2023. This programmer allows owners to unlock and customize a wide array of factory-installed features, enhancing the driving experience without requiring complex modifications. Among its capabilities, the Tazer can enable SRT Drive modes (Track, Valet, ECO for 2015-18 Scat Pack), factory Sport Mode (for both 5-speed and 8-speed transmissions), and SRT EVIC Performance pages, along with SRT performance pages within the Uconnect 8.4 radio. It also facilitates the activation of paddle shifters (if the factory paddle-equipped steering wheel is installed), factory fog lights, a backup camera, and an extra video input. Additional features include TPMS disabling, DRL customization, shift light enablement on 2015+ (6.4L) models, disabling the in-motion navigation lockout, and muting the seatbelt reminder chime. The Tazer also introduces unique functions such as Line Lock, which uses the ABS valves to hold the front brakes for controlled burnouts without affecting rear brakes, and Light Shows that flash exterior lights in various patterns. It offers a 3rd Brake Flash feature for increased visibility, and the ability to force engine, transmission, and power modes to specific settings (e.g., keeping active exhaust open, maintaining red key performance on Hellcats, or forcing Valet mode). Startup Drive Mode can be set to your preferred setting each time the car starts, and Auto Stop/Start can be disabled for Grand Cherokee or Durango models. Further customization includes Steering Wheel Shifting (SWS) for manual gear control via cruise buttons, AutoUpshift for setting custom shift points in AutoStick mode (requires Sport Mode enabled on 2012-2014 models), and Peak RPM Display. A 0-30 and 0-60 timer is available for models without SRT pages. The programmer can force AWD modes to RWD or AWD, reset TCM adaptives, and fully disable ESP, ABS, and AWD systems. Remote window operation (raise/lower) via the keyfob and button remapping are also supported. Installation is straightforward, involving plugging the Tazer into the vehicle's diagnostic OBD2 port. However, a crucial consideration for 2018 and newer models is the mandatory requirement of a Double Bypass Harness or Security Gateway Bypass Module for the Tazer to function correctly due to the addition of a security module.
