The Power Stop Z36 Truck and Tow Brake Kit is engineered to enhance braking performance for trucks, 4x4s, and SUVs, particularly when hauling heavy loads, towing, or navigating challenging hilly terrain. This kit addresses the limitations of factory brakes under increased operating conditions, aiming to restore confidence and stopping power. Each kit includes Z36 brake pads, drilled and slotted rotors, and in some configurations, performance calipers. The rotors in this kit are constructed from G3000 steel castings from Power Stop's trusted foundries and feature beveled drill holes to reduce temperatures during extreme braking. The slots on the rotor surface work to sweep away dust and gas, contributing to optimal braking performance. For enhanced durability and corrosion resistance, the rotors are silver zinc plated. The brake pads utilize a carbon-fiber infused Evolution ceramic formula for increased braking power and are thermal-scorched for a fast break-in period. Stainless steel shims are incorporated to provide virtually noise-free braking. The calipers included in select kits are finished with an electrostatic high-heat powder-coat for superior corrosion resistance and have been 100% pressure tested to ensure reliability. They come equipped with new bleed screws, hardware, and pins, and utilize high-temperature EPDM rubber and premium silicone lubrication for durability and smooth operation. This Z36 kit is backed by a 3-year or 36,000-mile warranty.
