Z57 Turbocharger

The ZZP LTG Z57 Turbo represents a significant upgrade for the LTG engine platform, developed over two years of testing and refinement. Building upon ZZP's successful Z54 and Z57 models for other Ecotec engines, this turbo brings advanced performance technology to the LTG market. Constructed with durability in mind, the Z57 features Inconel wastegate hardware, known for its resilience in extreme conditions. The compressor outlet is equipped with a V-band connection, offering flexibility for custom setups and various engine configurations. This design ensures it bolts directly in place of the factory TD04 turbo, simplifying installation by allowing the reuse of existing intake and exhaust systems without the need for adapters. Significant performance gains are possible with this turbo, as demonstrated in testing where two vehicles surpassed 500whp at moderate boost levels. The goal was to provide a turbo comparable to ZZP's ZFR 7163 but at a more accessible price point, delivering excellent horsepower per dollar. Installation requires a custom tune to manage boost control via the ECM, with specific adjustments needed for the wastegate duty cycle. ZZP offers a standard 2-year warranty on this fully manufactured product. It is important to note that the Z57 turbo is considerably larger than the stock TD04. Due to the inherent fragility of the LTG engine, ZZP DO NOT recommend running this turbo on stock internals, as it carries the risk of engine damage.
