Z57 Turbocharger

The ZZP Kappa Z57 Turbo is a specialized version of the ZZP Z57 turbocharger, engineered as a direct upgrade for the LNF engine within the Kappa chassis, specifically for the Pontiac Solstice and Saturn Sky. Building upon the success of their Z54 model, ZZP developed the Z57 with enhanced features, including Inconel wastegate hardware for superior durability in demanding conditions and a V-band compressor outlet that facilitates easier integration with various platforms and engine setups. The Kappa-specific variant comes complete with tailored coolant and oil lines, a silicone coupler, and a billet wastegate actuator, ensuring a more straightforward installation. Performance testing of the Z57 turbocharger has yielded exceptional outcomes, with test vehicles achieving over 500 wheel horsepower at moderate boost pressures. ZZP designed this turbo to provide a competitive alternative to the EFR 7163, aiming to deliver significant horsepower gains per dollar spent within the Ecotec market. This turbocharger is engineered as a direct replacement for the factory K04 unit, allowing for the retention of existing intake and exhaust systems without the need for adapters. While the Z57 turbocharger is designed for a bolt-in installation on the LNF engine, it requires a custom tune to optimize performance. Specifically, adjustments to the wastegate duty cycle map in the ECM are necessary. ZZP backs this product with their standard 2-year warranty. The turbocharger specifications include a 57mm inducer and 71mm exducer compressor with a 2.5” inlet and 2” V-band outlet, and a 63mm inducer and 56mm exducer turbine with K04 inlet and outlet. It fits the 2007-2009 Pontiac Solstice GXP 2.0L, 2007-2009 Saturn Sky Redline 2.0L, 2007-2009 Opel GT 2.0L, and 2007-2009 Daewoo G2X 2.0L.
