Overview

The PPE Zilla turbo inlet is a performance upgrade for 2004.5-2005 GM 6.6L Duramax LLY engines, designed to replace the restrictive factory inlet. Constructed from 100% dry/prepreg carbon fiber in a twill weave, it features a 4-inch diameter path that increases airflow by 25% for improved turbo efficiency and throttle response.

Installation requires trimming the factory air cleaner outlet tube and removing the plastic turbo resonator to allow for a direct-fit connection via the included high-flow silicone coupler.

The PPE Zilla turbo inlet provides a high-flow intake solution for 2004.5-2005 GM 6.6L Duramax LLY engines by eliminating the flow-restricting bottlenecks found in the factory assembly. By maintaining a constant 4-inch diameter all the way to the compressor flange, this inlet increases the cross-sectional flow path area by 25% to maximize air volume reaching the turbocharger. Crafted from 100% genuine, dry/prepreg carbon fiber with a protective clearcoat finish, this inlet features a durable twill weave construction. The kit preserves the factory CCV port by incorporating a threaded aluminum adapter. To achieve optimal performance, the installation requires trimming the factory air cleaner outlet tube just after the flexible coupler and removing the factory plastic turbo resonator. Removing the resonator not only helps declutter the engine bay but also unmutes the characteristic sound of the turbocharger. The system includes the necessary high-flow silicone coupler for a seamless, obstruction-free transition from the factory intake path to the new inlet, as well as a V-band clamp for secure mounting. Please note that this product is specifically designed for 2004.5-2005 LLY engines; it is not compatible with earlier or later Duramax engine configurations.
