Zytel Chassis Bushing

These bushings are injection molded from a high-performance fiberglass-reinforced Zytel nylon resin, offering superior durability and stiffness. The material boasts a tensile stress that is 3x stronger, with 6.5x less stretch, and is 1.5x more resistant to bending than the original components. Furthermore, they exhibit an impact resistance that is 39x better and maintain good chemical resistance, ensuring longevity even under demanding conditions. The design features a taller profile that provides 36% more overlap with the door cup, further minimizing deflection and contributing to a stiffer feel. This improved design is offered at half the cost of the previous generation. Installation is straightforward, involving the removal of two bolts holding the factory rubber bushing and replacing it with the new, stiffer component. Proper door alignment is necessary, and some minor adjustments may be required, especially on vehicles with a history of modifications. The product is sold in pairs, sufficient for one vehicle. While these bushings are designed to fit all Miatas, some ND3 owners have reported instances of squeaking, a phenomenon currently under investigation as the factory parts are identical to earlier models. They are available in black or red, though color matching to the vehicle is not guaranteed. Compatibility extends to a wide range of Miata models including 1990-1997, 1999-2005, 2004-2005 MSM, 2006-2015, 2007-2015 PRHT, 2016-2025, and select Fiat models (2017-2020) and RF models (2017-2025).
