ZZ632/1000 632ci Crate Engine

The Chevrolet Performance ZZ632/1000 Deluxe Crate Engine is a powerful big-block V-8 designed to deliver exceptional performance, offering 1004 horsepower and 876 lb-ft of torque on pump gas. This engine is built upon a tall-deck Sportsman Bowtie block featuring 4-bolt main caps and an all-forged roller assembly for enhanced durability. It incorporates all-new, high-flow spread-port cylinder heads derived from Pro Stock racing technology, providing superior airflow. This deluxe crate engine comes as a complete assembly, pre-installed with cylinder heads, intake manifold, oil pan, damper, front cover, water pump, and a 14-inch automatic transmission flexplate. It features a crank-trigger ignition system with coil-near-plug ignition coils mounted on a unique valley plate, and an EFI induction system for precise fuel control, managed by a pre-programmed, self-learning control system. Installation of this engine requires specific considerations. The throttle body is shipped uninstalled and must be fitted by the engine installer due to crate fitment. Additionally, a starter, EFI-compatible high-pressure fuel pump, and an air cleaner compatible with a 4500-series (Dominator) mounting flange are necessary. The unique design of the cylinder head exhaust ports necessitates a custom exhaust system. For manual transmission applications, an internally balanced flywheel is required in place of the included automatic transmission flexplate. This engine is not intended for marine applications.
