ZZ632/1000 Crate Engine

The Chevrolet Performance ZZ632/1000 Deluxe Crate Engine represents the pinnacle of Big-Block engineering, delivering an astonishing 1004 horsepower and 876 lb-ft of torque, all while being capable of running on premium pump gas (93 octane or higher). At its core is a tall-deck Sportsman Bowtie block featuring an all-forged roller assembly, ensuring robust performance and durability. It is equipped with a hydraulic roller camshaft and advanced RS-X design aluminum spread-port cylinder heads, drawing technology from Pro Stock racing. The engine utilizes a 58x crank-triggered, coil-near-plug ignition system for precise timing and features an EFI induction system for optimal fuel delivery and impressive power output. This complete assembly comes with the cylinder heads, intake manifold, oil pan, damper, front cover, water pump, and flexplate installed. However, due to crate fitment, the throttle body is shipped uninstalled and requires installation by the engine installer. Additional components required for operation include a starter, an EFI-compatible high-pressure fuel pump, and an air cleaner compatible with a 4500-series (Dominator) mounting flange. Furthermore, the unique design of the cylinder head exhaust ports necessitates a custom exhaust system. For manual transmission applications, an internally balanced flywheel is required, as the engine comes standard with a 14-inch automatic transmission flexplate. This powerhouse is not intended for marine applications.
