ZZP 1.4 Sonic/Cruze 72# Valve Springs

The ZZP 1.4 Sonic/Cruze 72# Valve Springs are engineered to overcome the performance constraints of the stock valvetrain in 1.4L Sonic and Cruze engines. Factory valve springs, rated at 42#, are prone to valve float when the engine reaches its rev limiter or operates under increased boost levels. This condition not only places undue stress on valves and valve seats but also leads to a loss of power due to improper valve timing. By upgrading to these 72# ZZP valve springs, drivers can safely extend their engine's RPM range and unlock higher horsepower potential at the upper limits of the rev band. For enthusiasts pushing their engines further, ZZPerformance offers an optional configuration that includes Titanium retainers. These retainers are designed as direct replacements for stock components and significantly reduce reciprocating mass by as much as 17%. This mass reduction greatly improves valvetrain stability, especially at high boost and lift levels, and complements ZZP's camshaft packages perfectly.
